Exosomes
Revitalise Your Radiance
Exosome treatments are a regenerative treatment. Exosomes are nano-size vesicles rich in lipids, proteins, and ribonucleic acids (RNA’s), that enable effective intercellular communication. These nano-sized vesicles secreted by stem cells effectively stimulate the regeneration of cells causing collagen and elastin production. Improving skin texture and skin quality, such as a reduction in fine lines and texture and an increase in the skin’s elasticity and collagen contents.
At Skyn, we use both Exomide and Préime brands of exosomes. We deliver these into the skin through microchannels created by micro-needling. A series of 3-5 treatments at 4-week intervals is recommended.

COMMON Exomide Exosomes QUESTIONS
What are exosomes?
What are exosomes?
Exosomes are small, nano-sized vesicles produced and released by cells in the body. They contain a variety of molecules, including proteins, RNA (ribonucleic acid), lipids (fats), and other bioactive substances. The specific contents of exosomes vary depending on the type of cell they originate from.

Are exosomes stem cells?
Are exosomes stem cells?
No, exosomes are not stem cells. They are secreted from cells in the body and are cell-free and DNA-free, meaning they cannot replicate or transform. Additionally, because exosomes lack immune markers on their surfaces, they are unlikely to be rejected by the body.
What is the function of an exosome?
What is the function of an exosome?
Once exosomes are secreted or released from a cell, they play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication, transferring information and altering the behaviour of neighbouring cells. It’s important to note that exosomes are not cells themselves; they are small vesicles released by cells and cannot reproduce. Their primary function is to influence other cells, which contributes to their favourable safety profile.
