Two projects this year have further demonstrated the usefulness of the LCR StressMap technique in two other areas, a round-robin related to residual stress in titanium samples and another for evaluating stress overload and hydrogen attack in steels.

ASTM E-2479-06 - Practice for Measuring the Ultrasonic Velocity in Polyethylene Tank Walls Using Lateral Longitudinal (LCR) Waves has been approved by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
